1.PREAMBLE:
Department of Wildlife Health and Management in the Faculty of Veterinary Science & A. H., was established in the year 2001 with the aim of teaching, research and extension activities in wildlife health and management. Post Graduate degree and diploma programme in the department started from the session 2002-2003 with the mandate that the state has one of the richest zones with great biodiversity consisting of 9 National Parks and 25 Wildlife Sanctuaries. The state is also a custodian of several endangered wild animals like tiger, sloth bear, gharial, otter, gaur, barasingha, lesser Florican, great Indian bustard, etc. Thus, it was upgraded as Centre for Wildlife Forensic and Health because there is no standard Wildlife Laboratory in Madhya Pradesh. To meet out the challenges on serious dearth of baseline information, diagnostic tools information and regular research work on disease diagnosis and wildlife forensics, the Centre for Wildlife Forensic and Health has made composite mandate towards conservation of Wildlife wealth under M.P.P. C.V.V.,
